I went here the other night from Searsons. we were looking for somewhere we could hear ourselves and not sweat just standing there, and we found exactly that it was busy not packed no music to speak of but at the same time it wasn't dull. The decor was a touch old and the barman was an Oldish guy wearing Pure white shirt and black tie old Dub Style i liked it for a change of pace!!! Good Smithwicks too
Hmm I made a mistake, I thought I was revieing the Wellington but it turns out it was the Waterloo instead. Ooops, or Oh Crap as Truvo would say. If you have any interest in my thoughts on the Wellington, check goldfish under Waterloo. In short it's just ok, nothing special.
Whilst I'd have to agree with Philip_Dub about the standard of food in here, I would have to say that if you're looking for a decent after work pint and don't want to have to listen to the "I-am's" that freqent many of the Baggot Street bars, this is a welcome change - just don't go here expecting to admire the decor.....
This place just doesn't cut it on Baggot Street! Been here for lunch on a good few occasions and on each occasion I keep asking myself why have I gone here when there is so many different and far superior places on Baggot street for lunch! Everything is just average, these guys need to recognise that and bring the standard up a wee bit!
Truvo is the place to tell us what you love and why we should love it too. Tasty restaurant. Nice cafe. Great doctor. Fun shop. Cheap thrill. Then share your experience. And people will follow.
