One of the first tapas restaraunts in Dublin, Salamanca is a top class authentic Spanish restaurant with a good selection of tradition dishes. A bit on the pricey side though, but the food is among the nicest of its kind in Dublin, with the scallops, meatballs and chorizos of particular note.

Excellent food, both in variety and quality, with very friendly, helpful service and warm ambience. Note that the portion sizes exceptionally generous, almost to the extent of not really being tapas, so order extravagantly at your peril! However, beware of the drinks prices - very high, even by Dublin standards. The food is quite pricey, but the quality makes this reasonable; no excuse for the beer (€5.20 for a 330ml bottle of San Miguel and only Stella on draft); don’t even look at the pric... more

This a perfect place to go with a group of Friends, the ambiance is great - nearly tricks you into thinking your near the beach in Spain!!! Especially When you wash the tasty tapas down with a cold glass of Sangria..

This Place WAS a great restaurant. Food has since gone down hill. Its far too expensive for tapas eg of Lamb Cutlets @ 16.00euro a pop! They seem to have opened a new Salamanca on Dame st.Maybe this will be better food wise but i doubt the price will be.

This is a really great restaurant , especially for lunch. There's a great value set lunch , with enough choice to suit anyone. It serves the best food in town , its comfortable and roomy, and the staff are always very friendly and efficient. They also have good wine at an affordable price.

Cheap and cheerfull, good service. Always go on week nights and had no problems getting a table without a reservation. Think that during the weekend it way too busy and you would need to book in advance. Recommend the lamb chops and the paella.

I went here just before Christmas and crowds were coming out the door, however the waiter/food service was still ok - well despite waiting for the bill at the end. Two of us split four tapas between us and it was loads. The menu is good - a lot of choice for people who like fish. Not a fish fan myself but i still had several options from the menu. Wouldn't be my top tapas place in town but work the look see

Good place to eat tapas or a typical spanish paella. Also great value for the meat and wine. You can ask for the "wine of the house" they are all good and cheap

I wouldn't recommend as a genuine Spanish restaurant. It can be okay but I am not fan. Although I am aware thhttp://www.truvo.ie/places/salamanca-dublin-2/reviews#at it is very difficult to run Spanish restaurant out of Spain.
