BEST place to come with your friends/family for a pre Christmas dinner together! I have been here twice, two separate years, both times around Christmas and the setting couldn't be any more perfect! One of my favourite spots for lunch.They've introduced live music(1 guy with a electronic keyboard) in the daytime which marred my visit.Between him and the coffee machine and the general clamour of a busy restaurant,CONVERSATION was loud with my fellow diners.Food is still top-notch.The chowder,one of the best in town with a new addition of roe(caviar?!)sprinkled on top .There was no sign of the Ostrich burger that was a staple of it's menu ,but it has been a while(10 months since I've been)... more

Excellant restaurant - went with a crowd from work and had a great night - great menu - food was lovely - there was a guy in the corner who played guitar while we ate our meal and even played requests - all in all a great place to dine

just had food there last weekend. the food is really good and I agree with the previous reviews. I wasn't expecting much but really enjoyed. It also had some live music, which I love, so 1 more point for the guys!

Lovely restaurant, the staff are flexible and cannot do enough for you. When I visited they even let us re-arrange the special set menu with same priced items from the a la carte, and still let us keept the set menu price. The food was lovely and the restaurant is cozy , would definitely eat here again.

I really love this place, been here about 3 times now and each time was as good as the last. Two of the times i went there with my boyfriends sis who is a coeliac and i have to say they really know how to cater gluten free. Her food was so good that i got a coeliac option for starter this week. Definitely try the garlic pesto bread or the steak skewers for starter. ooh this place is a real treat, first of all it was superbly decorated for Christmas, and the fact that we were there special Christmas menu really made the whole experience more enjoyable. Getting a cocktail on arrival and having crackers definitely ads something extra. However that doesn't make a difference to how savage the food was - wow I didn't think one garlic pesto bread could be that different to the next one but it really was the best garlic bread I've ever had.
